Marco has arrived!

I was in Venice, I couldn't tell you how many years ago, and I started writing a story about Marco Polo. Numerous drafts later, and now minus the talking rat and the prison scene, here it is, in Cricket magazine. Many thanks to Frank Krasne who got hold of a physical copy for me - online just isn't the same.

And now I'm desperate to go to Venice again ...

 

Talking History Shortlisted!

Great news - Talking History - 150 Years of Speakers and Speeches has been shortlisted for the British Book Design and Production Awards 2022 - one of five titles in the Children's 9-16 age category. The winner will be announced 7 November. Here's hoping!
