Silver Skin on CALL

Last Day of Voting:
Friday 17 February 2017 at 5:00 pm!

We getting closer all the time to the final day of voting for the very first Scottish Teenage Book Prize, not to mention the Graphic Novel competition (illustrating a scene from one of the shortlisted books) and the Book Trailer competition!  Entries are already starting to come in, I've been told, and the excitement is definitely on the build.  And included in the voting, due to the essential work of CALL Scotland (Communication, Access, Literacy and Learning), are readers with print disabilities.  Books for All has put the 3 shortlisted books into accessible forms for students with additional support needs.  Follow the link to find out more.

So, if you haven't registered yet, what are you waiting for?  Join in, sign up, and get reading!

All Washed Up Exhibition

The artist Moira Buchanan kindly sent me a photo of my poem "Aftermath" in one of her hand-made paper books, part of her All Washed Up Exhibition, currently running at the Harbour Arts Centre in Irvine.

Well worth a visit, if you're in the area!  (Opening hours and other information here, with the following changes after Jan. 4: Tuesdays to Fridays 10:00 am to 4:30 pm, closed Saturdays to Mondays.)
