Coming soon - on Thursday 28 May, to be precise - Cranachan Publishing's anthology of stories and poems about lockdown by Scottish children's writers, edited by Joan Haig! It's coming out as a free e-book, and I'm really pleased to be part of this project.

Nobody Came, and Chapter 4

In local news, the anti-lockdown, anti-vaccinations, anti-using-the-brain-you-were-born-with demonstration in our local park was attended by ... no one.  Not a single person.  The weather was pleasant - two police officers had a nice stroll around - and the newspaper chap came by and took a couple of photos of the grass quietly growing.  I don't have a photo of the grass in the park, but here's one of the grass just up the hill from the park to give you an idea of the less-than-hectic nature of the event -

And Philippa Stevens continues to do a lovely job of reading Ely Plot (Book 1 of The Wickit Chronicles) and you can hear Chapter 4 here.

Bunnies (and Chapter Two)

Two years ago in May I had a wonderful week's writing retreat at Lesser Wearie studio in Perthshire, sharing the porch (I was on top of it, they were underneath it) with a family of baby bunnies.

And, in other news, you can hear Philippa Stevens reading Chapter Two of Ely Plot here.  Thank you, Philippa!
