Writing Retreat Ends

 

Well, that was excellent.  A whole week immersed in penultimate edits of a novel I had to set aside last autumn and have only now been able to come back to, in a wonderful house in a beautiful hidden valley at just the beginning of the spring ... 

Back home now, and back into the thick of other work, but I'm determined to get the final edits done soon.  Even without a hidden valley.

That's the view of one of the waterfalls I can see from the balcony of the Mill Lade, where I have the great good fortune of having a week's writing retreat. And I'm going to be writing - absolutely - here I go - whoa - did you see that heron? Right. Onwards. Any minute now ...
