Cherry Blossom Farewell

Off to Canada and was so hoping my downstairs neighbour's cherry would blossom before I went - and it did!

By the time I'm back (mid-April) it will be busy making leaves instead and that's a pretty sight as well.  Spring.  We're lucky to have you!

Such an exuberantly pretty sight! Perhaps the trees bloomed to wish you better and as a salute to your travels. Have an enjoyable time.

BBC Radio4 recently had a Book of the week (?) serial about a man know as "Cherry" Ingrams who - in early 20c - did a lot to promote the ephemeral ornamental cherry in UK and then re-introduce it to Japan, and more. Very interesting. Must listen to it
again.
