Thanks for the reminder.I should go back one day, but my last visit was when you could walk into Maese Howe with just a torch; and into Skara Brae without any restrictions or interpretative panels. I fear I may be somewhat disappointed, could be best to hang on to the very vivid memories.
I live and write in the Kingdom of Fife, overlooking the River Tay, with a view of trees and grey slate roofs and a skyscape it would be hard to better.

How very very exciting -- I can't believe it was only 3 years ago that we were being wind-tossed and blown away by Orkney!
